Dominique de Quervain & Andreas Papassotiropoulos

GeneGuide was founded in 2013. The company is co-directed by the two founders.

Dominique de Quervain and Andreas Papassotiropoulos share more than 12 years of scientific collaboration and numerous milestone publications in Science, Nature Neuroscience and PNAS on the genetic basis of human cognitive and emotional functions. By using high-throughput genotyping and implementing comprehensive multi-locus, genome-wide statistical methods as well as functional brain imaging, they identified genes related to human memory, either by candidate gene approaches (e.g Nature Neuroscience 2003; PNAS 2006; Nature Neuroscience 2007; PNAS 2009; PNAS 2012) or by unbiased genome-wide scans (Science 2006; Molecular Psychiatry 2011; Molecular Psychiatry 2012). Their work has been recommended as “must read” by the Faculty of 1000 in Biology and was declared by the editors of Science as a “Breakthrough of the Year”.
